Editorial, Loud, In Motion
A black-and-white concert video runs behind the hero, framed by bold headlines, textured monochrome imagery and a restrained red, cream and deep-ink palette that gives the site the attitude of an album booklet.

Overview
Alexandra Căpitănescu is a Romanian alternative rock artist who won The Voice of Romania at 20 and, in early 2024, built a band around her voice — Matei on bass, Bogdan on guitar, Luca on drums and Thomas on keys. With a European tour on the calendar and a fast-growing community, they needed an official home that felt like the stage, not like a business card.
We built it together over three months, in constant conversation with Alexandra, her manager and Luca — the band's drummer and visual artist. Every direction was shaped by their feedback: from the first static concept to a black-and-white video hero, from a busy moodboard to an editorial language that mixes artist site, magazine, album booklet and concert poster.
Tickets sit at the heart of the experience. Every show gets its own poster, date, city, status and a direct route to the right ticketing partner, while a custom Discord integration announces new concerts to the fan community the moment they go live on the site.
Around it, the website gives fans a place of their own: a moderated fan art wall fed from Discord, a fans-only corner with downloadable material, news, merch and a "Meet the Members" section where each musician tells their own story — all available in English and Romanian.

Key Challenges
An artist website has to serve three audiences at once — fans who want to feel close to the band, promoters who need clear information, and industry partners who need the right materials. For Alexandra, the challenge was to keep the raw energy of a live rock show while making every ticket, story and press asset effortless to reach.
(04) Challenges
Capturing the intensity of a live show on screen — through video, typography and motion — while keeping every text readable over moving imagery on both phone and desktop.
Bringing dates from several ticketing platforms and posters made by different designers, in different formats, into one clean calendar that the band can update on their own.
Giving fans a reason to come back — sharing their own art, unlocking exclusive material and hearing about new shows first — without losing control over what appears publicly.
Delivering the full experience in English and Romanian, and giving event organisers and industry partners the right press kit without exposing everything to everyone.
Design Approach
Our approach was simple — the website should look the way the music sounds, and work as hard as the band does on tour.
(03) Directions
A black-and-white concert video runs behind the hero, framed by bold headlines, textured monochrome imagery and a restrained red, cream and deep-ink palette that gives the site the attitude of an album booklet.
Each concert has its own page with its poster, date, city, status and a direct link to official ticketing. Posters of any format are centred automatically on a generated background, so the calendar always looks consistent.
Fan art is submitted through the band's Discord and reaches the site only after approval, with a weekly featured piece. A webhook announces new concerts on Discord, while a public and a password-protected EPK serve promoters and labels.
Final Outcome
The result is an official website that feels as bold as the music — one home for the band, their releases, their tour and the fans who follow them from show to show.
